Any foreign visitors enter the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China must have a valid passport and it should be valid for at least six months after your planned departure date from Hong Kong. Visas are not required for most of the Nationals of countries, the latest information can be obtain at Chinese embassy or consulate. Staring from 26 January 1998, frequent visitors holding valid passport and are eligible to come to Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) without a visa or entry permit for visit purpose may apply for HKSAR Travel Passes. A written baggage declaration must be submitted to a custom officer upon entry. Visitors must clear customs through either Red or Green Channel. Visitors who have no articles to declare should use the green channel. If a visitor declares non-duty-free articles voluntarily, the declared amount will be accepted and the clearence procedure will be expedited. For more information about Customs, please click here.

Visas for mainland China can be obtained in Hong Kong. Visas required one photo and take about three working days to process. Visas can be obtained through the Visa Office of People's Republic of China, Office of the Commissioner of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in Hong Kong, China Travel Services (HK) Ltd., or China International Travel Service HK Ltd.
