The Government has put great effort in opening the market of telecommunication in rencet years. Obviously, the market has changed from monopolised to open, thus people can share the benefits in using the facilities without paying a lot. The local residential telephon paid in monthly basis, and allow unlimited usage. However, local calls from public coin phones cost HK$1 for five minutes.
