MTR Steps Up Tourist Offerings

On 1 May 2009, a Child Tourist Day Pass will be launched to complement the popular Tourist Day Pass, providing 24-hour unlimited travel on the MTR network for children aged between three and 11. Priced at HK$25 each, the Child Tourist Day Pass can be purchased at all MTR and Airport Express stations.

As a special promotion for the upcoming May Day long weekend and ensuing summer holidays, visitors who purchase a Tourist Day Pass between 1 May and 31 August will receive a HK$20 cash coupon to be used at Telford Plaza or Maritime Square.

To mark the start of the Shenzhen multiple-entry visa scheme in April, the MTR is offering discount coupons worth up to HK$130 to successful applicants. The coupons have been mailed to Shenzhen residents along with their visas, printed in Shenzhen newspapers or can be downloaded from the Hong Kong Tourism Board website. Coupons can be presented at MTR Travel in Lo Wu Station to purchase products such as MTR Cross Boundary Travel Package, attractions’ admission tickets, hotel, and local tour packages.
