Tickets for the Beijing-Kowloon and Shanghai-Kowloon Through Trains for the ChineseNew Year in 2009 (from 15 January to 9 February) will be on sale from 23 November 2008(Sunday).
Starting at 7am on 23 November, the tickets will be available at four designated salesoutlets, including the MTR Intercity Passenger Services Centre at Hung Hom Station, theWanchai and Mong Kok branch offices of the China Travel Service (Hong Kong) Limited,and the head office of the China Railway (Hong Kong) Holdings Limited in Tsim Sha Tsui. Each passenger can buy up to four northbound and four southbound single journey tickets.
From 12:00 noon, tickets will also be available at other Through Train ticket counters at designated East Rail Line, West Rail Line and Light Rail stations, and sales outlets of appointed ticketing agents.
Southbound tickets from Beijing and Shanghai are in limited supply in Hong Kong. Passengers who are unable to buy southbound tickets in Hong Kong may purchase them at the Beijing West Station or Shanghai Railway Station.
