Extra show of "B-Boyz and Ballerina" by Gorilla Crew of South Korea

An additional performance of the high-energy dance theatre "B-Boyz and Ballerina" will be held on August 8 at 3pm at Hong Kong City Hall Concert Hall due to overwhelming response to scheduled shows.

Performed by the award-winning dancers from South Korea's Gorilla Crew, "B-Boyz and Ballerina" is one of the highlights of the large-scale summer festival "International Arts Carnival" (IAC) presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department.

Cinematic masterpiece Red Cliff screened in Sydney

"Dragonfly Festival" celebrates beauty of dragonfly at Hong Kong Wetland Park

The "Dragonfly Festival" was launched June 13 at the Hong Kong Wetland Park featuring a mix of educational and entertaining activities for visitors to learn more about the interesting life of dragonfly.

From today until the end of September, the park will present a wide array of specially-designed activities for all ages.  One of the highlights is the public lecture delivered by a dragonfly expert who will share his experience of exploring this "winged jewel" of Hong Kong.

Hongkong Post announces special "Heartwarming" 2009

Hongkong Post June 8 announced that a new set of "Heartwarming" stamps will be released on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Associated philatelic products will also be available from the same day.

The design of the new set takes after the third issue released in 2007. Interesting similarities and differences between cultures are highlighted with felt appliqu? in cheerful colours. The "Celebrations" stamps compare the festive excitement of the Chinese lion dance with fun-filled parties in the Western style. Blossoming flowers and fluttering butterflies in the "Love and Care" stamps convey warmth and romance in the air.

A Fun Journey on the MTR with Doraemon and Friends

Well-loved characters from the Doraemon cartoons will arrive at the MTR in a series of limited edition Souvenir Ticket Sets beginning on 28 June 2009.

Each set includes two specially-designed MTR souvenir tickets featuring popular characters such as Doraemon, Nobita, Shizuka and friends, a ticket holder and electronic gadgets featuring Doraemon, Nobita or Shizuka. The first set will be available on 28 June 2009, with the other two sets following on 5 and 12 July respectively.

Shanghai Expo mascot "Haibao" at Victoria Park

"Haibao", the mascot of the World Exposition 2010 Shanghai China (Shanghai Expo), has this week moved to Victoria Park as part of an extended visit to Hong Kong.

Created from the Chinese character for "people", "Haibao" made the move on June 1 and will remain at Victoria Park until November 30.
